Face visors are now permissible as a substitute for the everyday mask according to the "Mund-Nasen-Bedeckung Auslegungshilfe" from the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
The visors are of course not a substitute for FFP2/3 filter masks and in hospitals the visors are worn as additional protection in combination with a filter mask.
However, for areas with a lower risk of infection, where an everyday mask is now mandatory, visors are now also permitted as a substitute according to the design aid from the state.
