We recycle plastic waste into new 3D printing filament

Waste is not an end product

The vision of QiTech

How to make your own recycled filament from plastic waste using our products

We have developed an ecosystem of modular machines that allow you to make your own filament (the "ink" for 3D printers) from various materials. Even from plastic waste!

We ourselves also used the machines to produce high-quality filament from production waste from large factories.
Both the 100% recycled filament and the machines are available from us.

Shred the plastic

With the Jarvis Shredder we have developed a powerful shredder for high-quality & uniform granulate. It is available in 2 versions: a smaller version for smaller workspaces and laboratories and a larger version with more power and more volume.

Granulate extrusion

In our Extruder, we have combined all our experience in plastics processing of the last few years. Special features include the pressure sensor and the cloud connection, through which all further process steps (cooling, diameter regulation and rewinding) can be monitored and adjusted in a single app.

Cooling filament

The Jarvis Airpath is our easy-to-use cooling unit that ensures an consistent temperature of the filament for spooling. This temperature is very crucial: filament that is too hot can stick together on the spool and filament that is too cold may not bend enough to fit tightly.

Measure the diameter

The JARVIS DRE is our solution for monitoring the filament diameter during production. The right diameter is elementary for high-quality prints and thanks to the modular design, our measuring unit is compatible with almost every extrusion line.

Winding filament onto spools

With our Pro Winder you can easily wind or rewind filament. The intelligent speed control detects whether the filament is under tension and adjusts the winding speed based on this. So your filament rolls are always perfectly wound after production.

Use recycled filament

We also offer the recycled filament as a refill or with our reusable spools made from bottle caps.

We use production waste from large factories in the region as a basis and then recycle it into new filament using our own machines.

The beginnings of QiTech

QiTech originally started as a student project.

We wanted to make our own filament for our 3D printers and built small machines for this in the garage.

All of a sudden, people wrote to us and wanted to buy our machines. So we started QiTech Industries and started mass producing our machines.

Renting a 2500m² REWE store as an 18-year-old

With time and the progress made since then, QiTech Industries has developed into much more of a real company than just a small student project.

Ever since we realised that our developments were actually needed, we have continued to scale up more and more.
And after delivering over 70 machines to 14 different countries, we moved into an empty REWE building in Oppenheim, Germany.

Our new factory building in Darmstadt

We have now moved to our new factory building in Darmstadt. In the middle of the Schenk Industrial Park and 10 minutes from the University, we are now building and developing our 3D printing filament production equipment.

Our goal: Nothing less than to build the best machines in the world to help further advance the manufacturing and research of 3D printing filaments.
