What sets our Aquapath apart?
In our own filament production line, our air cooling eventually reaches its limits: the faster the filament runs, the harder it becomes to maintain a consistent temperature. Our Aquapath solves exactly this problem. Water cooling is significantly more effective, allowing us to run at higher production speeds without the diameter falling out of sync.
Two consecutive chambers give us the control we need during operation. The front chamber is heatable and gently cools the filament. This is important, especially for materials that cannot tolerate sudden temperature changes. The rear chamber is cooler, which ensures that the process runs smoothly even at high throughput.
The water does not flow in a concentrated stream, but rather enters through small side holes along the aluminum profile. This prevents turbulence or ripples on the water's surface—the filament submerges evenly and emerges from the bath smooth and round.
Monitor, control, and synchronize your Aquapath with the Extruder and the QiTech —all in one centralized, easy-to-use system. All you have to do is connect the EtherCAT cable, and it will appear immediately in the QiTech software. From there, you can keep an eye on the water temperatures of your heated zones and the readings from the flow sensors—all on one screen, all under control.
PT100 temperature sensors and flow sensors monitor everything in real time. If the water flow stops, a safety system immediately shuts off the heating circuits before anything overheats. And the CNC-milled drains at the lowest point of each tank can be completely emptied. Residual water drains out, making the next material change faster.
