Make Your Own Winder with Our Winder

With its intelligent speed control, our winding machine ensures precise and perfectly wound filament for your production.

As soon as our intelligent system detects that there is no longer any tension on the filament, it automatically adjusts the speed. This makes the Winder easy to use and compatible with almost any filament Extruder.

How is our Winder ?

The QiTech Winder a machine that allows you Extruder either Extruder filament directly from the Extruder or rewind spool from one spool to another.

It consists of a pull unit, a filament guide, and the winding spindle.

By adjusting the pull speed, you can adjust the filament’s thickness while it’s still hot. Finally, the filament guide ensures even distribution on the spool.

Our QiTech Software

All machines, one software

Monitor, control, and synchronize your Winder the Extruder and the QiTech —all in one centralized, easy-to-use system. QiTech runs on a Linux-based industrial touch panel and automatically detects and synchronizes all connected machines. For example, you can have the winding speed adjusted based on the measured diameter. And for everyday use, there are physical hardware buttons right on the device so you don’t have to look at the display for every step.

Our machine software is open source

Our complete control software, including documentation and schematics, is openly available on GitHub. This allows you to clearly see what’s going on under the hood and, if needed, even fork the code and adapt it to your own processes.

What Winder Our Winder

Puller

The puller is the first component to grip the filament. With its spring-loaded silicone rollers, it adapts to any filament thickness and grips with such a strong hold that even a snow groomer would be jealous. Stainless steel ball bearings and a powerful Nema stepper motor ensure smooth operation.

The mechanics have been completely simplified: changing spools and threading filament is now significantly faster and effortless. And the puller takes the lead—you simply enter the desired pull speed (in m/min), and the machine handles the rest. The spool axis and traverse adjust automatically and keep in sync.

The "F" in "Filament Guidance" stands for precision. With breathtaking accuracy, our integrated filament distributor moves step by step to the right and left, across the entire width of the spool.

This ensures Winder winding and makes threading a breeze.

Spool Axis

Exchangeable material box, which makes the shredder easier to use

The spool axis is the heart of the winder—and now more flexible than ever. Thanks to tapered mounts and a sliding drive pin, virtually all standard spools can be clamped in place, regardless of differences in drive holes or spool diameters.

The flexible turntable spool centers the spool and secures it firmly on both sides. The spool axis is driven by a motor that, in conjunction with the software, precisely controls its interaction with the puller and filament distributor—ensuring that every layer is positioned exactly as it should be.

Adaptive Speed

Winder QiTech speak the same language—and are in constant communication. If the QiTech detects that the filament is getting too thick, it immediately notifies the puller. If the filament is too thick, the puller pulls faster; if it’s too thin, it slows down. Sounds simple. But there’s a lot of brainpower behind it.

After all, there are several meters of cooling path between the puller and the laser. If you make corrections blindly, you’ll overcompensate and end up with filament that’s alternately much too thick and much too thin.

You can determine how aggressively or conservatively the control system intervenes by adjusting a few parameters in the QiTech software: The result: consistent tolerances, less scrap, and a system that’s fully under control.

Laser

High quality motor which allows you to shred almost anything

With its built-in laser, the Winder can be spool to fit any spool Winder —no additional attachments required.

The laser is now permanently installed in the filament distributor. To calibrate it, simply move the distributor to the left and right edges of the spool—the laser dot will show you exactly where you are. The spool width is automatically entered into the software.

That’s it. Once set up, the Winder winds Winder from edge to edge.

Do you need more than theWinder? No problem. We’ve also developed an XL Winder for industrial applications such as cables and hoses—featuring a reinforced 20-mm stainless steel shaft, dual bearings, and speeds of up to 50 m/min. Reels weighing up to 10 kg are standard, but heavier ones are available upon request. And for winding materials, we’ve also developed a special winder with an actively braked side for precise pre-tensioning and a driven side.
