Smart Filament Production
We develop machines that cover the entire process, from plastic waste to new filament. Using smart software, we control all the machines so they can communicate with each other and produce perfect 3D printing filament—even using recycled materials!
We also conduct ongoing research ourselves so we can share valuable expertise with the community.




The entire recycling process

For example, to turn 3D-printed prototypes, defective prints, or scrap filament back into valuable raw material, our high-performance shredders grind your plastic parts into uniform flakes. We have also developed a special pelletizer for scrap filament, which is available upon request via email.

To achieve perfect results, it is important to dry the pellets before extrusion. Residual moisture in the material leads to bubble formation and often significant variations in diameter. For this purpose, we use the Digicolor Drywell 2540 pellet dryer. Its circulating absorption units ensure completely uniform drying. This allows us to consistently achieve the exact moisture content required, even with technically demanding polymers.

Our QiTech Extruder the heart of the filament production line. It precisely melts your granules using custom-designed heating zones and regulates the material pressure in the Nozzle real time via PID control. If the pressure fluctuates, the machine immediately adjusts the motor speed—before any issues can arise. The result is a constant material flow, which lays the foundation for finished filament.

After extrusion, the filament is still hot and malleable—and it is at this very moment that its final roundness is determined. The QiTech Airpath preciselyAirpath your material from the side using four powerful fans. The cooling intensity is infinitely adjustable. This allows the filament to harden evenly without being blown away or losing its shape.

Our dual-axis laser measurement system checks not only the diameter of the produced filament in real time, but also its exact roundness. We now also offer this technology to external customers through our software subsidiary.
