How are you perceived as a young founder? And what are the difficulties of starting a business at such a young age?
Follow me.reports answers these questions in its short documentary about life as a "Gen-Z founder". Nour Idelbi - who founded her own company at the age of 16 - accompanied Celina Goette from Juniorjob and Milan for a while and spoke to them and a few other founders about their everyday lives.
For many young entrepreneurs, it is a challenge to be taken seriously in the business world. Female founders in particular often struggle with old stereotypes and prejudices. Both founders also find it difficult to balance their studies and entrepreneurship. In the video, they talk about their difficult time management in order to do justice to both university and the daily tasks of a company. This often leaves little time for private matters, which is not exactly conducive to a good work-life balance.
Bureaucracy in Germany
Another problem is the bureaucracy in Germany, which often puts obstacles in the way of young founders. Applications, approvals and long processing times cost time and nerves. A small project close to Milan 's heart was therefore the bureaucracy crash course, which was created in collaboration with the YoungFoundersNetwork.
It explains the most important steps on the way to setting up your own company. All with linked legal texts and clear videos.
The entire video series for the crash course is available on YouTube or on the corresponding website.
