Over the past few months, we have been working on a special project from Schwerin to further develop our QiTech Winder . The goal was to be able to spool a thin medical tube in precise quantities from one spool to another.

Since our customer's medical tubing was very thin and somewhat sticky, it was essential to ensure consistent and low tension. Therefore, we made Winder few modifications to the Winder :
1. correct voltage
The rewinder is divided into an actively braked side, which ensures minimum tension during winding, and a driven side, which can now also stably support large coils with a lot of weight.
2. laser calibration & traverse
As with our “standard” Winder , you Winder easily calibrate the spool size using the built-in laser. The values are saved in our QiTech software and can be accessed at any time. The new traverse moves the filament smoothly spool in sync with spool during winding spool can be easily adjusted in the software to accommodate different filament diameters.
3. other improvements
In addition to the higher speed of up to 200 rpm, we have also installed hardware buttons. This means that everything can be set once at the beginning with our software and then the 3 buttons for starting, stopping and calibrating are sufficient.
We also installed a main switch and an emergency stop button so that our Winder can be used Winder during operation.
