Our new Extruder is ready!

Over the last 3 months we have developed our new plastic melt (Extruder). With the Extruder we melt the shredded plastic waste into the fine wire for the 3D printers (3D printing filament). With the new machine we can produce much faster and more precise. So now we can recycle more plastic waste into high quality 3D printing filament!

Thanks to Johannes Tack from Xeel GmbH, we were able to reuse the components (motor, gearbox, etc.) from an old Extruder .

In addition to the professional components, we bought a used industrial control cabinet in which we mounted the electronics in a protected way. Our new Extruder runs on high voltage current and with our inverter we can adjust the speed exactly. We have three heating elements which we can control exactly with our PID controllers (proportional-integral-derivative controllers).

This development is a huge step from our old extruders, which we still built from water pipes and wooden drills!

Milan has an overview of our projects (at least he pretends to). Developing new machines and doing something for the environment at the same time excites him. At QiTech Industries Milan designs and develops our machines and manages the finances (at least he does his best).
