From November 18 to 21, November , Formnext —the world's leading trade fair for additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing—took place in Frankfurt am Main, with over 800 exhibitors and around 30,000 visitors. We were there and demonstrated our complete filament production line live at our booth.
Live production directly at the trade fair
We exhibited our filament production machines and manufactured filament live on site. We used our Extruder, the laser measurement for precise control of the filament diameter, and our Winder for winding. The entire process chain was thus visible to visitors—from granulate to perfectly wound spool.
The joint booth with David from Artme 3Dwas also exciting. He presented his Extruder —a kit for around €800 aimed at hobbyists. This created an interesting contrast: on the one hand, our industrial system for around €40,000, and on the other, the compact consumer version for DIY assembly. Both approaches demonstrate the diversity of the filament industry – whether in a professional production environment or on your desk at home.
Community, startups, and a really good spot
This year, we were fortunate to have a booth right next to the StartUp area with a stage, where we were able to listen to some of the pitches. It was just as great to meet many faces from our community in person. Overall, Formnext 2025 was a success for us—and we are already looking forward to being there again next time and seeing even more of the community on site.
